Would I bring someone I wanted to impress like a date or business meeting, but a quick Asian breakfast and a cup of tea ... It's nice. Don't 100% see why the 1 stars but I didn't get a bandage on the side with my jook. Two person show one in the back and one up front. They seem more coworkers than a couple but service was as expected, food as expected. Alittle pricey at $12 but you get plenty of food. Probably enough to split between two.

My girlfriend and I came here because it was open really early. We had just got back from our flight and arrived at SFO around 7am and this place opens as early as 8. Breakfast is cash only tho so if you plan to come for breakfast bring cash! This is a cute little hole in the wall Hong Kong style cafe. Their breakfast menu has a lot of options and it's pretty close to what a real Hong Kong cafe would have. It's runned by a married couple and they were very nice to us and their regulars. We ordered the breakfast combo because it's cheap and easy for breakfast. We wanted noodles and congee. The satay beef noodles was exactly what I expected. The noodles were soft and hot. Beef was soft and juicy. It was good. The congee was very rich and although the size was a bit small it was perfect for my girlfriend. The Chinese donut was just okay. I would suggest the turnip cakebror anyone that wants to try the congee.

This is a 3.5* review. I was walking on Broadway with the mom in search of lunch. We walked by chicken pho you but it was packed. We came across HS Cafe which had table and looked pretty well ventilated with the open door. I believe it was the owner who took our order. He looked like someone you would come across at a dai pai dong in Hong Kong or a hawker stall in Singapore. He seemed like that Uncle that was just tell it like it is straight to your face. Makes me miss traveling to Asia and exploring. They didn't have lunch as it was 10 minutes from noon but they had breakfast. I went with the pork chop/egg with fun-see and the mom went with a porridge and turnip cake. The food was alright, though the turnip cake was pretty good. The receipt was placed on the table and is cash only for breakfast. I was looking at doing a mobile order of popcorn chicken across the street at T4 but my mom only ate a piece of her turnip cake leaving me to finish the rest. Not the typical kind you would get at a dim sum house but more of something you'll find at a hawker stall in Singapore. We were in and out quickly and went about our business for the day.

This is a very cute and authentic Cantonese style cafe. We arrived at around 9am for breakfast and it was already fairly busy but we didn't have to wait. Tried the beef porridge and beef noodles with fried dough - which were both delicious. Breakfast is cash only- which we didn't realize until we sat down but luckily had enough cash on hand.

We stumbled upon this spot this morning when we were looking for some HK style breakfast. The plan was to go to Broadway bistro but we saw that it was closed, found this spot and decided to give it a shot. Pretty happy that we decided to come here! First off, service was over the top! I'm not sure if he's the owner but he was super friendly, welcomed us, and thanked us for coming in. I also observed his attitude with other customers & he's just so polite, often thanked the customers even just for returning the menu. I enjoyed seeing that he chatted with locals that frequent the spot. Immediately as we walked in you can already smell the strong aroma of the HK milk tea so that got me super excited! He brought us hot tea while we looked over the menu. I ordered the spam & egg with macaroni soup and my bf ordered the mustard green & sliced pork with rice noodles. Both dishes came out & it was piping hot with big portions! They didn't skim on the slices of spam or the mustard greens/sliced pork. We enjoyed that the broth was clear and hot especially for early in the morning. The portion was so big I actually didn't even finish the macaroni soup. The milk tea was very strong & he checked in with us to see if it was enough condensed milk. Overall we're really happy we found this little spot. It was pretty inexpensive for the portion size & the taste of everything. We will definitely be back again!

Gave a try late tonight, 11pm with friends. Parked right in front in street as really nothing else open at the time. Not busy. Got table right away. Service was quick and helpful. All of us had the same thing, soup and ginger tofu with tea. Dishes: -Beef flank noodles- 4/5- overall very enjoyable. I could eat any of the flank pieces without feeling like I was chewing rubber. You know how some places are. All the beef was easy to chew. Got a lot of veggies and not spicy, so added a hair of siracha. Very enjoyable actually. Liked it a lot. -Ginger Milk Curd- 4/5- you get a lot. Bowl is pretty deep. I'm not a big ginger fan, but it was very tasty and nice consistency, like medium firm tofu. No ginger pieces inside, just the flavor. Also liked this a lot. Total price was surprisingly a little high, over $100 for 4 of us. Maybe I'm still living in the pre-inflation world, but about $30/person seemed high. Would be back again if in same circumstances of late night eats and in the area. Does not deserve current rating- should be higher. Food quality was beyond the rating.
